The Affordable Arts Festival (AAF) in Denver has been ranked as one of the top 40 arts festivals in the nation, and for good reason. You can find amazing pieces at this festival, from metalwork to oil paintings, and all for $100 or less.
Yes, you read that right: fine art at an unbelievable price. You may be wondering why the pieces are so inexpensive. Rest assured, it has nothing to do with the quality of the artistry or workmanship. In fact, many of the works are steeply discounted, originally priced at thousands of dollars.
What are Some Examples of Discounted Pieces at AAF?
While some of the art you will find at the Affordable Arts Festival is normally priced at $100 or less, you can also find some amazing pieces at an exceptionally reduced price. The following are just a few examples of treasures you will find at this year’s AAF:

Why is Art so Cheap at the Affordable Arts Festival?
In short, the AAF is actually a charity event. The vendors at AAF lower their prices in an effort to make fine art accessible to everyone. The festival also supports budding local artists: proceeds from ticket sales go directly to scholarship funds for art students at Arapahoe Community College (ACC). To date, the AAF has raised over $140,000 for the ACC Foundation.
What Kind of Art is Available at the AAF?
Anything you might find at a “normal” arts festival is available at the AAF. This year, there are more than 160 vendors covering every sort of medium, including:
- Ceramics
- Fiber
- Glass
- Jewelry
- Metalwork
- 2D & 3D Mixed media
- Photography
- Sculpture
- Woodwork

How Do I Buy Bulk Art at the Festival?
With prices like these, you may wind up with more pieces than you can carry! Luckily, the festival has arrangements for situations like these. Golf carts are available to assist you by bringing you and your treasures to your car.
Is the AAF Family Friendly?
Absolutely! The festival is designed to bring art to the masses, and it is never too early to introduce your little ones to the world of fine art. Children of all ages are welcome. Fur babies, however, are not permitted (unless they are a service animal).
Best Time to Go to the Denver Affordable Arts Festival?
Art at such reasonable prices can sell out quickly, so guests are encouraged to arrive early. Although the festival begins at 9am, past years have seen quite a few visitors arrive well before this time! Early birds who arrive before the festival officially opens will be rewarded with coffee and pastries.
Give Back to the Community by Supporting Artists
Buying art from local artists is a wonderful way to give back to the community. Just by purchasing a ticket to the AAF, you will be supporting burgeoning fine artists and providing opportunities to students who might not otherwise be able to pursue a fine arts education.
As an avid supporter and lover of art, Brenda Kellogg Meyer is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Affordable Arts Festival. Please stop by and see what our amazing community of artists has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!
