The majority of us will spend over 35 years in our beds. Despite this surprising statistic, a large percentage of us still report being chronically tired. While this is likely due to multiple factors, a big one may have to do with the state of our bedrooms. Some of us toss clothes on the floor or drape them over furniture. We leave our blankets rumpled and water cups and bottles on the nightstand. All this clutter can have a negative impact on your sleep quality. Feng Shui Tips for the Bedroom
Clear the Clutter
First things first, clean your bedroom. Any items that have no use or personal meaning should be discarded or donated. The less clutter in your bedroom, the more space you have to dedicate to its true purpose, which is rest and romance. Both activities will be greatly enhanced by a room that is clean, bright, and fresh.
- Pick up all clothes off the floor and put them in a dedicated hamper out of sight.
- Take out all dishes and cups and bring them to the kitchen to wash.
- Empty waste baskets and throw away any other trash, such as wrappers and tissues.

This is easily done by bringing in a touch of fire with a few candles, peach-colored pillows, or a warm-hued work of art.
